Hey there!

I’m SM Rabbi, founder and CEO of the MathClub of the New York City. I’ve been passionately teaching math for the past 23 years. Here, I would like to introduce to you a unique math course for 6th and 7th graders who’re currently struggling with math. I called it “MathLeap.”

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve seen countless students struggle with certain areas in 6th and 7th grade math, and it’s not because they’re bad at math or don’t understand it. It’s just that a few challenging areas are holding them back, and this fear tends to carry forward.

No one seems to care. Rather, people are blaming the math curriculums, styles of teaching, friends, and so on.  Sometimes they tend to blame the education board or even the city officials. Critics say the educators are not doing enough. However, few initiatives are taken to resolve the issues facing our children. The wealthy parents send their children to fancy tutoring service where one-to-one tutoring session are setup to improve their quantitative reasoning. Many of them overcome their math fears and improve their grades–that’s a good news.

Wait a second!

What about the students whose parents can’t afford such expensive tutoring sessions? What happens to them? You know the answer. The struggling students hate math as they hate a rabid dog. When they go to math class, they succumb to mighty math. They feel bored, confused, and pity. They do not want to deal with this painful life experience. They give in.  Math fears kills their confidence, and as a result, they totally give in and say “math is not for them”.

Actually, this status quo can be changed.

Here is how?

I have worked with many students who hated math. After attending a few sessions on challenging areas, they started to understand math as any other good students in their class. They realized a few tricky areas were holding them back. They see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Once they grasp those challenging areas, they move forward with ease and enjoy math as fun. They start to compete with other well-performing students.

Many success stories as described above convinced me to take this service to the next level and convert it to a public good–something any student (struggling or not struggling) can join and benefit from.

That’s why I created MathLeap. It’s not just another tutoring program. MathLeap focuses solely on these challenging areas. We don’t re-teach what your kids already know; instead, we fill in the gaps in their understanding and help them leap over their math hurdles.

For just $47, MathLeap gives you 8 live workshops over 8 sessions, each session being 35 minutes. In addition, it gives unlimited access to recorded video sessions for a whole month. It’s like having a personal math tutor on call, ready to help whenever your child needs it.

With 23 years of experience in this field, I’ve refined my teaching methods to cater to various learning styles, and I’ve made sure MathLeap reflects that versatility. I’ve seen first-hand how tackling these specific challenging areas can transform a student’s math journey.
